Rejoice, Pray, Relax!
Hey SOYMILK,
Hope you all had a good time at cell last Saturday. Here's the update for those who were not with us... and those who have short-term memory loss. Just joking :)
It was Kevin's turn to host cell. There were some people who met at Simei MRT as coordinated by Danny. And alot of people who just went to his house on their own. Looks like SOYMILK is getting a better sense of direction :P Those who were early, went down to the pasa malam to munch.
Veronica kick started cell with an ice breaker game. We were supposed to tell two truths and one fake thing about ourselves. Then the others would guess which was the fake statement. Can't believe that chef Keith has not cooked Tom Yam before. Especially with his love for thai food.
Jeremoo did a good job leading songs and Daniel facilitated well. Kevin then shared a lesson on problems. The lesson was based on James 1:2-6. The characteristics of problems is that they are inevitable, unpredictable, variable and purposeful. The purposes of problems is to purify our faith, fortify our patience and sanctify our character. And the three Godly responses to problems is to rejoice, pray and relax. After the lesson, we were split into discussion groups.
After discussion, we gathered back and prayed for each other. The experience of praying for another person was great!
We ended off with announcements by Kenneth on the roles of next cell and a closing prayer.
After cell we hung out together and had dinner.
